Red Brick Inn Description:
German immigrant and tinsmith John Reinig built the red brick vernacular building with his son William in 1900. Mr. Reinig also owned the Fond du Lac Malt & Grain Co. which used to be located between our building and the Fond du Lac River. President Taft visited Fond du Lac in the early part of the century and rode in Mr. Reinig's automobile as he paraded around the city. Several US Presidents have driven past our building (Taft, Ford, Bush 41 and Bush 43).
The Red Brick Inn is located within the North Main Street Historic District. It occupies the upper level of the building and has a separate entrance. However, registration and check-in are located in our insurance agency at street level. Elevator access is not available. Upon arrival, you may park on Main Street to allow for convenient check-in. Designated off-street parking is located in the rear of the building.
From the moment you arrive at the Red Brick Inn, you will know you are somewhere special, someplace with a unique style all its own. Beautifully restored and luxuriously appointed, the spacious seven room suite offers all the comforts of home while pampering you with unexpected extras.
