One hundred years after the settlement of Scottsville, Virginia, surveyor Peter White (in 1832) built the Federalist portion of HIGH MEADOWS VINEYARD INN & RESTAURANT. Fifty years later (in 1882) businessman Charles Harris created the Victorian portion of the Inn. In 1985 two modern day lovers of history, fine food, and nature planted a viniferous vineyard and commenced restoration of High Meadows as Scottsville's Country Inn - awaiting its guests' pleasure today.
