Finch Ranch Lodge Description:
Pioneers of the Panhandle, Finch, Lord & Nelson established the Ranch in 1885 for the purpose of raising Hereford bulls to sell to cattlemen like Mr. Charles Goodnight. With Indian Creek running through it, there are two trails that lead to the creek and a small lake, with willow lined banks along the way. At Finch Ranch, an Amarillo Texas bed and breakfast, we have an abundant supply of wildlife and hospitality. At any given time you may see birds such as turkey, roadrunner, cardinal, purple finch, painted bunting, bluebird, dove and quail, to name just a few. Other wildlife includes mule and white-tail deer, bobcat, armadillo, squirrel, porcupine, coyote, raccoon, dragon flies, and fire flies. The wildflowers are breathtaking in the spring and summer. Grab a pail and gather wild plums or grapes. If you visit in the fall you are sure to enjoy the stunning foliage-even winter is special, watching the bird feeders at their busiest time of the year.
