Richmond House Bed & Breakfast Description:
Welcome to the Richmond House Bed & Breakfast, a country cottage located in the heart of PA Dutch Country with easy access to all the attractions. We provide you with a warm, spacious room, a private bath, full-breakfast and enough country/colonial charm to brighten your stay with us. Allow us to provide you with the best hospitality and accommodations available in a country cottage setting.
Our home was built in 1933 for C.W. Richmond, a dentist, and his wife Sara. Dr. Richmond began his dental practice in New Holland in 1927. Upon his death (1975) the bulk of his estate created the Richmond-Pennock Family Scholarship Trust Fund for graduating students at Garden Spot High School and is sought after by those studying dentistry or nursing. The house is a large stone and clapboard country cottage home with random width oak-pegged floors downstairs and random width pine upstairs. Throughout the home all the doors have wrought iron hinges and door latches. Several Dutch doors lead to outside patios or porch areas.
