Mayor Lord's House Bed & Breakfast Description:
The house at 654 Park Avenue was built in 1920 by Lewis L. Lord, Mayor of Meadville from 1901 to 1904. His great grand father Samuel Lord, a well known early settler donated the land for Allegheny College. On campus "Lords Gate" is named for Samuel Lord. The house is delightfully decorated in an antique and eclectic style that you will find warm and comfortable. The Great room is a popular conversation and gathering area. Additional spaces include a separate TV room, a study area with internet connection and a meditation room.
For the comfort and convenience of our guests, Mayor Lord's House is a smoke free and pet free home. We are not able to accommodate small children, however college bound young adults are welcome to stay while visiting Allegheny College.
