Bridgeton House on the Delaware Description:
The Inn was built in 1836 as a private residence. It has served as a General Store, Bakery (H.L. Yuts), pool hall, real estate office and apartments. It was riverside witness to the Flood of 1903 which swept away the wood covered bridge that connected Upper Black Eddy to Milford, NJ.
In 1981 Bea and Charles Briggs purchased the run-down building and spent over a year gutting the building and uncovering old floorboards and vintage fireplaces.
They rewired, plumbed and painted and created Bucks County's only Riverfront Bed & Breakfast.
