Thomas Walton Manor B&B Description:
Welcome to the Thomas Walton Manor, a Bed and Breakfast Inn, located in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Come in and savor the restful elegance of one of North Carolina's most gracious residences. Designed by John Weaver of New York City and modeled after plantations along the James River outside of Richmond, VA, this stately Georgian colonial, was built by the Hervey Evans family in 1939.
When the house finally went on the market in 1999, Mr. Horne, knowing he would like to eventually return to live once again in Laurinburg, had the opportunity to purchase his special house. He has since restored and updated the house and brought it back to life with his exquisite design sense and creative flair. Mr. Horne has filled the house with color, hand-painted murals, stenciled floors, marble bathrooms, Italian chandeliers and rich fabrics. He blends old and new with unique art pieces he has collected in his travels throughout the world, making each room an arresting and tranquil experience.
