The Lodge on Lake Lure is a wonderful combination of an elegant country inn and a casual bed and breakfast--an intimate environment with all the privacy you want, furnished with art, antiques and collectibles. A large, rambling structure, the Lodge is situated high on the hillside to afford a sweeping view of the lake and beyond. The boat dock is headquarters for guests who enjoy the waterfront--swimming, fishing, and boating. Its rooftop deck is an ideal spot to observe the activity on the lake or simply relax and soak up the sun. The great room is warm and inviting with vaulted ceilings, hand-hewn beams, walls of wormy chestnut, and a huge gristmill stone embedded in the twenty-foot-tall stone fireplace.

Through the French doors is the breakfast room--really a sun porch--with lots of glass for enjoyment of the scenery. Also on the main floor is a private dining room with fireplace, and a terrace for dining and socializing. Downstairs is the stone veranda, perfect for reading or visiting with a few friends. From here a terraced walkway meanders down the hillside to the boat dock, outfitted for maximum enjoyment of the water and sun. All 17 guest rooms exude individuality and comfortable charm. All have brand-new, very spacious bathrooms. Some guest rooms have private decks.

Every morning a wonderful full breakfast is served in the dining room overlooking the spectacular view. Breakfast is available from 8:00 until 9:30 am. Guests can savor a lavish dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings by reservation only. Our chef and his staff prepare a scrumptious, full dinner, served in the dining room or on the outside terrace. Alcoholic beverages are available, too. Come to the Lodge on Lake Lure.
