Step out of your fast paced, hectic world and into the serene, peaceful world of PARADISE ON THE LAKE BED AND BREAKFAST. You can enjoy the quiet beauty and restful ambiance of Seneca Lake. Relax on the large wrap around decks. Join in the activities on the dock, in or out of the water, choosing from swimming, canoeing, fishing, or sun bathing on the shoreline with a good book. Or you might enjoy a cool beverage in the large hot tub and watch some of the most beautiful sunsets you've ever seen. Shared boats are available on the premises of PARADISE ON THE LAKE BED AND BREAKFAST or you can book a more formal fishing charter in the area.
For those who love to shop, the Finger Lakes Outlet Mall (Waterloo Premium Outlets) has many surprises. Antique hunters can also find treasures from the past in the many quaint shops and flea markets in the area. Within a short drive the many wineries that dot the shores of the Finger Lakes graciously welcome visitors for wine tasting tours. Many scenic golf courses are available in the area as well. Local museums and historical sites including the Seneca Falls Women's Hall of Fame, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad system, Rose Hill Mansion, and the William Seward House of the early 1800's are also interesting to explore. The beautiful Hobart and William Smith Colleges remind us of Elizabeth Blackwell, the first woman doctor in the United States. Watkins Glen, at the southern end of Seneca Lake, offers hiking along the gorge, scenic waterfalls, and in the evening, the Timespell laser light show expounds on the history of the ice age glaciers that formed the Finger Lakes. Watkins Glen is also home of the Watkins Glen Raceway. Seneca Lake is known as the Lake Trout Capital of the World. There are several marinas close by, along with two state parks.
