While we are unable to write the entire history of this house, we do know that two sea captains called it home—Captain William E. Elliott, in the mid-1800s, and Captain James F. Chase, in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Both the main house (left, above) and the coach are available for stays. We're located on U.S. Route 1 (the coastal highway) in East Machias, Maine, on the East Machias River.
