At the Inn, our guests are greeted in the morning with fresh brewed coffee, fresh juice and fruit, a variety of breads and warm homemade muffins. Our main breakfast dish varies daily and is created to delight your taste buds while at the Inn. Our sunny farmhouse creates a warm and inviting way to start your day. Our guests don’t go hungry. If you are traveling with children or have any special dietary needs, we can accommodate you during breakfast. Please let us know of any special dietary needs when you make your reservation. If you have a day of activities planned and don’t have time for a leisurely breakfast, let us know and we will prepare a “to-go” package of breakfast goodies for you to take on your journey of the Mendocino Coast.

The Inn at Schoolhouse Creek Bed and Breakfast Reservation Policies and Payment Information:

Check-in & Check-out
Check-in is from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you need to check in later please let us know in advance so that we can make arrangements for your arrival. We'll leave a map, flashlight and your room key for you in a designated place. Check-out time is 11 a.m. Guests not vacating units by 11 a.m., without Innkeeper's permission, will be charged a late check out fee equal to one night's lodging.
Cancellations
If it is necessary to cancel or change any of the nights reserved you will be charged a $25 administrative fee per room cancelled. For cancellations with less than 14 days' notice (30 days for Shangri La and Sea Cloud) or early departure you will be charged the full room rate for all nights reserved unless we are able to re-book the room. Last minute cancellations and early departures due to inclement weather are not refundable. There is a 21-day cancellation policy in effect during holiday periods: Christmas, New Years, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Labor Day.
Pets
Your pets are our guests too and we'll strive to make them feel like they are on vacation as well! We do ask that pets be under the owner's control at all times. There is a one time $25 fee per pet in Mendocino Coast Rooms, $50 fee per pet in all Cottages; and $75 in Ledford, Captain's & Whale Watch. There is a maximum of two pets per unit. Guests keeping pets in units without approval will be charged $100 per night plus the cost to repair any damages that occur. A copy of the Pet Policy is available from the Innkeeper.
Smoking
We are a Non-Smoking Inn. You may smoke on cottage decks or on the lower grounds. Guests smoking in rooms will be charged a minimum of $150 for cleaning and repair. The charge will include all actual costs plus any lost income.
