Unwind at a serene, 1867 country estate on a headland meadow above Little River, minutes south of historic Mendocino Village in the heart of Northern California’s most celebrated artists’ colony. Glendeven blends the best of the Mendocino coast: gracious accommodations of a first-class bed and breakfast inn, ocean vistas to the south, and restful gardens surrounded by fields, forests and nature reserves. A contemporary gallery located in the estate’s original barn showcases the work of local artists.
The heart of Glendeven is a beautifully restored New England-style farmhouse set on ten acres of ever-flowering gardens with cozy outdoor seating areas. Owners Higgins & Sharon, who bring a unique array of restoration talents and food and wine savvy to the art of innkeeping, serve as active hosts, welcoming guests as friends staying in their home.

Guest quarters in the Farmhouse, nearby Stevenscroft annex and the private Carriage House Suite provide undisturbed luxury, combining tasteful antiques, comfortable furniture and fine art. All accommodations feature well-lighted reading areas, private bathrooms, feather beds, CD players, hairdryers and robes. Most have fireplaces, private decks and views of the ocean. Delicious hot country breakfasts are brought to your room to begin the day, and informal early evening gatherings in the Farmhouse living room with wine, hors d’oeuvres and fellow travelers prepare you for Mendocino’s extraordinary dining experiences.

Glendeven Inn Bed and Breakfast Reservation Policies and Payment Information:

* A deposit of one night's rate is required to guarantee a 1 or 2 night reservation; 50% of the total is required for longer reservations.
* All balances are due in full at check in.
* We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and personal checks.
* A two-night minimum stay is required on all weekends (i.e., when a Saturday night is involved).
* A two-night minimum stay always is required at La Bella Vista.
* Three-night minimums are in effect for holiday weekends, except Thanksgiving which has a four-night minimum.
* A two-night minimum stay is required during the week between Christmas and New Years.
* You are responsible for your entire reservation.
* Any change or cancellation of your reservation must be at least 7 days prior to your arrival date (14 days for holiday weekends).
* On shorter notice, we will refund any prepaid moneys only if we can resell the entire reservation; otherwise, you are responsible for your entire reservation.
* All cancellations will incur a handling charge of $25 per room.
* "No shows" are considered a cancellation, and all monies due will be collected.
* There are no refunds for "early departures".
* All inn rooms are configured for one or two adults, only.
* La Bella Vista can accommodate up to four people, including children.
* No pets.
* Smoking only outside.
* Rates subject to change without notice.
