The
Inn at Pinewood is a
Bed and Breakfast Resort located on the shores of 345 acre private Carpenter Lake, 5 miles east of
Eagle River at the end of Silver Forest Lane. The lake is very clear and quiet, abounding with wildlife and fish (walleye, northern pike, crappies, bass and pan fish). Osprey, hummingbirds, kingfishers, ducks, geese, and others make their summer home at Carpenter Lake. See the loons nesting on Loon Island and eagles perching in the trees around the lake.
Try some of the 1500 lakes in the area. Fishing, swimming, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling are some of the 4-season activities in the area.
Two miles away is the fabulous Nicolet National Forest with its hiking, biking, and snowmobiling trails. In the Forest is the 423 year old majestic McArthur white pine tree that is 17½ feet in circumference. Golf, restaurants, groceries, and horseback riding are all within a few minutes drive. Lake Superior and the Upper Peninsula sites are within an hours drive and the famous
Eagle Chain of 28 lakes is only 2 miles away.
Main FireplaceThe original log building was built in 1934 and was originally used as a hunting and fishing lodge. Additions were built onto the front and back, all the while seeking to retain its original uniqueness. The entire
Inn is available for private groups. The setting is ideal for retreats, conferences, seminars, meetings, or reunions. We are proud to have had many weddings and receptions take place at the
Inn. Marriage counselors have sent couples here. So many people from all walks of life come here looking for a romantic, peaceful stay and become our special friends.
