The Fargo Mansion Inn is a classic example of "Queen Anne" architecture built in 1881. It originally served as the private residence of Enoch J. Fargo, a second generation descendant of the Wells Fargo Stagecoach and banking family from Hudson, New York. The Fargo Mansion remained in the Fargo family as a single family home until 1945, when the home was purchased and converted into a five family apartment building.
