Ivy Creek Farm Bed and Breakfast began as a modest, "two by two by two" cottage built about 1840, on over 700 acres of land from Major Samuel Scott's plantation in Campbell County, Virginia. Some sources indicate the house may have been built as early as 1812. The original house faced the old Link Road between Boonsboro Road and Old Forest Road.
