Gay Street Inn Description:
Our restored 1850s farmhouse is located in the heart of the historic town of Washington, Virginia founded in 1749. Offering a relaxing stay in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, we're within easy walking distance of Patrick O'Connell's world-famous Inn at Little Washington. We're also only a short distance from the Shenandoah National Park, award-winning wineries, horseback riding, art galleries, boutique shops and antique stores. Your day begins with breakfast in our sunroom, which includes homemade baked goods, a variety of traditional breakfast favorites, a cup of our rich "house blend" coffee or your choice from a selection of exotic teas. We invite you to relax with a good book in the library or enjoy the peaceful serenity of the garden. Then sit on our old-fashioned front porch and listen to the soothing sounds of the fountain. Close out your day enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set over the mountains. And before retiring to the comfort of a welcoming room with modern private bath, share some chocolates and port in front of the fireplace. However you spend your time, we hope you will leave feeling renewed and refreshed. Come visit us--we look forward to welcoming you to the Gay Street Inn.

Other Amenities ...
The Gay Street Inn welcomes a diverse range of guests from across the United States and overseas. Some are veteran travelers, who have stayed at many B&Bs; for some, staying at the Gay Street Inn is their first experience of what a B&B is like. Our guests come for a variety of reasons: some are celebrating important anniversaries with their partners, some have come to dine at the Inn at Little Washington, and some come simply to relax while enjoying the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Our goal is to provide a welcoming and pleasant experience for all our guests by meeting--and hopefully exceeding--their expectations of a small country inn in an historic old town in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge mountains.
