The Channel Bass Inn was built as a private home in 1892, by Mr. John Winder, a former Mayor of Chincoteague, and since the 1920s has been in continuous use as a hotel, country inn, or bed and breakfast. This grand old 6,800 sq. ft. home, amid gorgeous perennial gardens, offers the Island visitor peaceful, beautifully furnished accommodations.
