Ruckman Haus is located 2 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio, Texas - home of the historic San Antonio Riverwalk. We are a one-block walk from San Pedro Springs Park which is the second oldest park in the United States. We are a block from the San Pedro Playhouse, which is as beautiful an environment as one can have for enjoying the theater. We are near a multitude of great restaurants, as our Inn is located near the historic Monte Vista section of San Antonio. We are centrally-located and just minutes from just about everything.

Ruckman Haus is a turn-of-the-century stucco home that reflects the distinct Spanish influence of San Antonio. But, as our Inn is in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, its design also reflects the important influence of the same German settlers that arrived to found cities such as Fredericksburg in the mid-1800's. As was so very often true about homes of the period, everything about Ruckman Haus is warm and inviting, especially the public rooms where guests are encouraged to congregate.
