Hearthside Manor Bed & Breakfast Description:
This beautiful Victorian home was built in the 1860's. It is located on 3 acres within the city limits of Historic Abbeville, and is conveniently located 1 mile North of the square. Sleeping with the Enemy was filmed in Abbeville in the early 1990's. The ambiance of this home is seen on the exterior as well as the interior. Gracefully capturing the beauty of this home are two large pine trees. These trees are believed to be the oldest Deodar Cedars on this side of the Mississippi over 150 years old. You are welcomed with a large veranda for relaxing in a private atmosphere. Step into the beautiful atrium with beautiful woodwork dividing the main atrium from the rear atrium.
Throughout the years the home has gone through many renovations, however the charm and elegance of the home still remains, as was intended over a century ago. The home is furnished with mainly antique furniture and collectibles accented with Lanie's love and collection of vintage linens for all to enjoy. The innkeepers, Richard and Lanie, will do all possible to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. They have strived to have their home be elegant and comfortable, yet creating a friendly and cozy atmosphere.
