Annie's
Inn Bed and Breakfast is a stately landmark in the tiny village of Montmorenci, a bedroom community of Aiken. Built in the early 1800s; it was the primary home to a two thousand acre plantation. Today it is still surrounded by cotton fields. Owners Dallas and Scottie Ruark are the proud innkeepers in residence who started the
inn in 1984. They have added six Guest cottages surrounding the swimming pool for corporate or long term stays. The two acre grounds are lovingly planted with trees, shrubs, and flowers, where birds can be heard singing every season.
Guests awaken each morning to the aroma of fresh baked muffins, bacon frying, or whatever entree the innkeepers have planned for their complimentary breakfasts that day, which more often than not will be eaten in the large country kitchen, complete with an old cook stove. There is also a spacious dining room reserved for large crowds.
Montmorenci, a still rural community, is fast becoming an equestrian center, with polo, dressage, and cross country contests making Annie's
Inn a popular place to stay while participating in these events. We at Annie's cater to the horse lovers providing early breakfasts and plenty of parking spaces. We are proud that people from all over the world seek us out for their accommodations while staying in the area. Annie's also is a favorite for newlyweds and anniversary couples, or the occasional getaway. Their rooms are designed for privacy and romance.
Annie's
Inn is just five miles to Aiken where excellent dining is provided for any taste. Beautiful gardens and shopping are availiable in historic old town, with a Mall and fast foods availiable in South Aiken. Added attractions in the Montmorenci area are the vineyards with wine tasting, large trap shooting facilities, and a quail hunting preserve are all within a short distance of the
