Tattersall Inn B&B Description:
Surround yourself with the peace and quiet of Bucks County in this spacious manor house nestled in the village of Point Pleasant, eight miles north of New Hope. This 18th century plastered fieldstone home with 3 grand porches, furnished with wicker and porch rockers overlooks manicured lawns and perennial gardens, recalls the unhurried atmosphere of an era gone by. The ubiquitous Stover family lived here for 150 years. Ralph Stover, the best known member of this prominent Bucks County clan of mill owners, resided here during the latter half of the 19th century.
You'll get a hint of the life of a country squire when you step into the richly wainscoted and mahogany entry hall, then into the formal dining room with it's marble fireplace where breakfast is served each morning. There is also the colonial common room with it's beamed ceiling and large fireplace, which years ago was the center of home life before cast iron stoves and central heating.
