My husband and I wanted to stay in the most historic Inn in the Gettysburg area and found the Fairfield Inn on line. It was built in 1757 and from the moment we walked in it was like stepping back in time. We actually slept in the guest room Gen'l JEB Stuart slept in in 1862! They have a fantastic restaurant and we added on the dinner package for two for only $39.95 and each of us get the surf and turf - lobster and filet mignon. Unbelievable value all around!

Overall Rating:
This Inn is only 8 miles west of Gettysburg and well worth the drive. To get there you actually drive the route Robert E. Lee took during the Confederate retreat on July 4, 1863. The Inn is gorgeous and has a tavern and restaurant. It was worth the drive and we were glad to be away from the fast food restaurants and trinket shops in Gettysburg.
