Springbrook Hazelnut Farm is located in
Newberg, Oregon, in the heart of the
Willamette Valley wine region. Just a 20-mile drive from greater downtown
Portland, this peaceful
Yamhill County estate remains part of a quieter time.
This National Historic Register property composed of four matching
Craftsman style buildings enclosed by ten acres of lawns and gardens,
complete with huge old trees and a one-acre pond.
This beautiful property is surrounded by hazelnut orchards and vineyards,
and there is a golf course less than a quarter mile away. The main house is a
7000 SF craftsman style home built in 1912.
We are perfectly located to be the headquarters for your
Oregon adventure.
The surrounding communities boast many superb wineries, antique shops,
and restaurants. For those seeking adventure, there are opportunities for hot
air ballooning, scenic flights from the local airport, wonderful bicycle
excursions on our country roads, and visits to local points of historical
interest. The
Oregon coast is an hour away. The Columbia Gorge and Mount
Hood are easy day trips from the farm. In 2001, Jim Prosser, founder of J. K.
Carriere Wines, began making wine in our historic barn.
