Prospect Hill, officially known as the "Charles and Annie Quinlan House" is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 1866 Prospect Hill was the home of James Cassius Lowry Gudger, who had been an Officer in the Confederate Army, and subsequently of his daughter Annie Quinlan and her husband Charles. The house was constructed on the high point at the edge of the town which was originally known as Mount Prospect.
