Even before there was a town of Dillsboro or the railroad that spurred its growth in the 1880's and revitalization in the 1980's, there was the Welcome to Dillsboro North Carolinahouse built in 1878 that is now the Olde Towne Inn. Before this historic home became a bed and breakfastinn in 1989, it was home to a farmer, a railroad man, a doctor, and a professor of religion. It was also once a rooming house.
