Oakland Cottage - A Bed & Breakfast Description:
Oakland Cottage is an historic "Arts & Crafts" style home, circa 1910, allegedly designed by Richard Sharp Smith, best known as supervising architect for the Biltmore Estate. The 5,000 square ft "cottage" has been naturally broken into private & roomy Suites, yet the integrity, spacious feel and character of this lovely historic home has been maintained with each renovation. The additional open common areas add to the spacious, warm & convenient experience.
There are 4 spacious 2-room Suites. With a capacity for up to 20 overnight guests, the Whole Cottage is perfect to reserve in its entirety for wedding groups, small retreat style meetings, and family reunions. Or, if you are traveling by yourself, as a couple, or small family unit, reserve just one of the reasonably priced, spacious suites. Our in-town location can't be beat - one and a half miles from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate and the heart of downtown Asheville. VIA's main offices are located here.
