Dick and Mimi have travelled extensively, collecting 18th and 19th century antiques and these, combined with select family heirlooms, and showcased against the soft pastels, bright stripes and colorful chintzes of the living and dining rooms, create a warm and fascinating haven. Through the French doors, just off the pale yellow living room, the engaging, sun-lit garden room, filled with flowering plants and wicker furniture, offers an arresting view of the back lawn and gazebo and a glimpse of the 14th and 15th Fairways of the famous Donald Ross course at Mid-Pines. The Beatty's have created a wondrous abode, offering their guests all the charm and personal attention of a small, comfortable inn as well as many of the luxuries and amenities of a four-star hotel.
