Culpepper Inn Description:
Nestled in the coastal plain of northeastern North Carolina, the Culpepper Inn is just one hours' drive from Norfolk International Airport. The Inn is surrounded by lush lawns, shrubs, and trees and housed in an 1930's brick Georgian Revival style manor house built by William and Alice Culpepper. The Inn is cozy with a smattering of antiques, Orientals and high thread count linen. The newly built annex (1993) features six guest rooms with queen sized beds, large recliners and private claw foot baths and soaking tubs. All rooms have a small refrigerator and microwave. Four of the rooms have gas fireplaces and one is fully fitted to accommodate handicapped clientele. On the grounds, you will find beautiful landscaping, a fishpond, and a screened porch to accent outdoor activities.
In addition to enjoying a good night's rest, we also host business meetings, weddings, conferences, family reunions and music recitals. We also offer sports getaway weekends: golf, sailing, tennis, and windsurfing. The Culpepper Inn was recently voted the "Best Bed and Breakfast" in Elizabeth City 2008,2009.
