Welcome to the Buttonwood
Inn, where country charm and southern hospitality combine to provide guests with a memorable vacation! The four bedroom
inn was originally built in the late 1920's between the 5th and 7th greens of the Franklin Public Golf Course, and had some of the main structure renovated in 1995. The two-story
inn has a white pine tung and groove interior and batten board exterior. A new wing was added in the late 1950's which retained the same rustic charm and now accommodates some of the
Inn's guests.
Innkeeper Liz Oehser has furnished the
inn with charming antiques, collectibles, handmade family quilts, and country pieces. Enjoy the mountain views from a rocking chair on the deck; watch the Dogwoods bloom in the spring or admire the breathtaking display of the fall foliage. Each morning enjoy such culinary delights as puffy scrambled eggs, apple sausage ring, stuffed french toast, or Dutch babies with rum bananas.
