Cairn House Bed and Breakfast Description:
Cairn House, Michigan Bed & Breakfast is a stately, two-story colonial home in a serene, natural setting providing Michigan lodging two miles north of the village of Elk Rapids, MI, near Traverse City, Michigan. Guests are invited to stroll about the one and one-half acres of manicured grounds or view Elk Lake from our porch. Your hostess takes great pleasure in sharing the elegant furnishings collected while living abroad. Relax in front of the fireplace at our bed and breakfast or in the spacious living room or retreat to the sun room to enjoy a book. The "pineapple", the colonial symbol of hospitality, dates back to the days when sea captains returned from their long voyages. Placing a pineapple outside their door signified that they were welcoming friends and neighbors for a visit and sharing their hospitality. Cairn House Bed and Breakfast Reservation Policies and Payment Information:

For the safety and consideration of our guests, smoking is not allowed in the house. Ample parking, including boats. Gift certificates available. Well behaved children are welcome. Sorry, no pets (a lovely pet care facility is near by).
Rates for double occupancy range from $99 to $150 and are subject to a 6% Michigan sales tax. There is an additional charge of $20 per person for more than two guests per room.
All rates include a full hearty country breakfast between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.
Two nights minimum stay required on weekends in season. A deposit of 50% will secure your reservation (cash, personal check, Visa or Master Card).
A 14 day cancellation notice is required to receive a full deposit refund less a $15 processing fee. Cancellation less than 14 days prior to arrival will forfeit the deposit depending on the inn's ability to re-book the rooms.
If all the inn's rooms are reserved by one group, a 100% payment is required at the time the rooms are reserved. A 30 day cancellation notice is required to receive a full refund, less a $15.00 processing fee.
Check-In 4:00-6:00 p.m.
Check-Out 11:00 a.m.

Cairn House is available for small weddings, business meetings, private parties, receptions, reunions or retreats for a maximum of twenty people. Call for details and availability.
