Inn at Clamber Hill Description:
The Inn at Clamber Hill, established in May of 1998, is located on a secluded 33-acre estate in the North Quabbin woodlands of Petersham, MA. This unique 9,600 sq. ft. mansion was built in 1927 by Roger and Caroline Putnam of Springfield as a summer hide-away. The Inn, with five uniquely decorated quest rooms and a small restaurant, is owned and operated by Mark and Deni Ellis; both the food and décor reflect their extensive European traveling experience. The Inn was a Yankee Magazine Editor's Choice selection in 2005!
"A grand Shingle-style eminence tucked in the forested uplands near Quabbin Resevoir, this property could be mistaken for a celebrity's hideaway in Tahoe, Aspen or Bar Harbor, complete with stable, eight wood-burning fireplaces, and a handsome library with big leather armchairs. The four guest rooms are tastefully decorated in equestrian, Asian, European and nautical themes. Linked to adjacent conservation land by hiking and cross-country skiing trails, it's a gracious and secluded spot where you'll see the Milky Way at night and hear songbirds in the morning. Owners Mark and Deni Ellis extend their
hospitality to anyone traveling with dogs too."
