The Mansion House Bed & Breakfast Description:
The Mansion House is an historic waterfront planter's residence located in the village of Public Landing. The property overlooks a broad expanse of Chincoteague Bay with Assateague Island in the distance. Built around 1835 by landowner and judge Ara Spence, this four-part stepped house with c. 1850 2-story, center hall addition and 2-story porch was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Maryland National Trust. The Mansion House has been carefully restored to its original charm and beauty.
We invite our guests to socialize in the great room, curl up with good book in the parlor, or simply relax on one of our spacious porches. Wake up to a spectacular sunrise over the Chincoteague Bay or enjoy a moonlight stroll along the waterfront. Experience the romance of the sea anytime of the year.
