Inn of Silent Music Description:
The ambiance is relaxed, quiet, and nature-friendly, but the quality of guests often occasions vibrant conversation, particularly over meals. And why Inn of "Silent Music?" The term hints of harmony, serenity and yes, silence.
Each guestroom offers a fresh sunny interior, a charming mix of antiques and flea market finds, a great bed, many books, and a view over water of the rising or setting sun. "English cottage", mused one guest. All rooms come with gourmet breakfast. Perhaps you would enjoy puffed German apple pancakes on the screened porch, the water sparkling twenty feet away. The only licensed restaurant on Tylerton, the inn also offers a well-received local seafood dinner for $20/person.
"Sharryl's excellent seafood dinners...are a bargain...and a scrumptious breakfast on the veranda is included in your stay." Washington Post
But you might be distracted from your rockfish baked in a tarragon and fennel crust and famous Smith Island eight-layer cake by the sun sinking gloriously into the bay before you. The Drum Point Market, the local hangout, offers lunch featuring their acclaimed crab cakes.
