The Oxford House Inn Description:
Country living at its best! The Oxford House Inn, Fryeburg's only full service country inn, offers visitors to the Western Lakes and Mountains Region of Maine & The Mt. Washington Valley of New Hampshire the classic bed and breakfast experience with the amentities of a small hotel. Owned by Culinary Institute of America graduate Jonathan Spak & his wife, Natalie, the Inn is a stately turn-of-the-century Mission style residence designed by the famous Maine architect John Calvin Stevens in 1913. Situated in the village of Fryeburg, Maine, our bed and breakfast has spectacular White Mountain views. We are highly recommended by many New England guides: Pamela Lanier's Bed & Breakfast Guide, Recommended Country Inns of New England, Inn Spots & Special Places, and Maine an Explorers' Guide. We offer upscale yet relaxed dining by candlelight, a lively pub with full bar, 4 updated guest rooms and genuine hospitality. With a grand presence on Main Street our inn is located in the Mount Washington Valley near the Saco River, the White Mountain National Forest, Kezar Lake, Sebago Lake and the Greater Bridgton Lakes & Mountains Region. Fryeburg Academy, Stone Mountain Arts Center, Storyland, and an abundance of outdoor activities, including skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, canoeing and climbing, drawing visitors to our beautiful part of New England year after year.
