Captain Lindsey House Inn Description:
Located in the heart of Rockland, Maine's Historic
Waterfront District, our 1840, 9-room luxurious inn
offers up old world charm with all modern amenities.
Rooms are large and comfortable without being fussy,
with feather beds and pillows, desks, reading chairs,
TV, Wi-Fi, telephones, large private bathrooms,
bathrobes, hairdryers, etc. Afternoon tea is offered and
can be enjoyed in our private, walled-in garden or on
cool days in front of our livingroom fire. Coffee is
available at 7:00 am (and throughout the day) and a
bountiful buffet breakfast is served between 8 and 9:30
in the morning. Close by you will enjoy several
spectacular museums including The Farnsworth Art
Museum, The Owls Head Transportation Museum and
The Maine Lighthouse Museum. Rockland also offers
galleries, fine dining, and windjammer trips or daysails
or take a ride on an authentic lobster boat. Located
between Portland and Bar Harbor we are in the right
place for many exciting day-trips. Your hosts are retired
Windjammer Captains and have lots of stories to tell.
