You may also want to stop by the Yulee Sugar Mill Historic Site or the Olde Mill House Gallery and Printing Museum on your way to the quaint Yulee cafe for a bite of lunch. Then why not try snorkeling or go for a pontoon boat ride with River Safaris on the beautiful
Homosassa River to see the monkeys on Monkey Island. Gulf Coast Charters can take you on a scalloping trip, tarpon fishing or dolphin watching.
You could also swim with the manatees or go canoeing to the Crystal River to view the native birds and wildlife. A short drive or boat ride to Ozello brings you to the Wenches Brew for a great dinner of local seafood. Be sure to save room for their delicious Key Lime Pie.
After dinner take a leisurely drive out to Fort Island Beach to watch the sunset over the Gulf of
Mexico. Travel south down old highway 19 to the world famous Weeki Wachee Springs where you can see live mermaids at play. After an exciting day at the Weeki Wachee Wild Water Park try the Souvlaki or a delicious Greek salad at Helles' Restaurant then go for a romantic stroll along the festive sponge docks in Tarpon Springs.
