We have been to many B&B's in New England, and our experience at the Inn at Lower Farm was the absolute best we have ever had. The setting and ambiance of the Inn were fantastic and the the hospitality of the owners, Mary and Jon, was superb. They really make you feel like family, and Mary's breakfasts were scrumptious! Her fresh baked cookies are always available, and a late-night serving of gingerbread and whipped cream was a perfect ending to our day. The library/sitting room of the Inn is a wonderful place to read a book or just take a nap. The Inn is centrally located to the beautiful shoreline towns of Mystic and Stonington and their excellent restaurants, two casinos, and several wineries (we highly recommend the Jonathan Edwards Winery which was only 3 miles up the road). All in all we could not have had a better stay, and we agree that it is the ONLY B&B we've visited that we definitely want to visit again.

It is not easy to find a charming inn or B and B near Mystic, CT. We are picky travelers and we searched for hours on-line. My husband finally discovered this charming spot on the website, I LOVE INNS. This site specializes in historic lodging and steered us to the Inn at Lower Farm. What a find!
This farm has been lovingly and beautifully restored and sits on many acres. We were surrounded by colonial decor and two marvelous innkeepers, Jon and Mary. Our room was spacious and easily accommodated 2 adults and teenager. Mary and Jon are eager to insure that travelers have a comfortable stay with them. The breakfast was delicious and a feast for the eyes and the stomach.
If you are lucky enough to get a room at the Inn at Loweer Farm, you are in for a treat. We loved it!

We stayed for two nights during the week- getting away from the kids for a few days. Immediately upon entering the bed and breakfast, Mary greeted us by name and made us feel comfortable. Throughout our stay, she and John ensured that everything was taken care of so that we could just relax. We had the "Escape" package, which gave us plenty to do in the area, yet was not cost prohibitive. All tourist locations were not too far of a drive (and the drives were beautiful!). The couples we met at breakfast both days were charming and great to talk to. We really felt that John and Mary went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay. Bottled waters or sodas were always available, as well as homeade cookies and various candy choices. The Deacon Gray room was fairly large for a bed and breakfast and gave us much privacy and romantic ambiance. The daily breakfasts were delicious and plentiful- we didn't need to eat until much later in the day! Make sure you check out the Jonathan Edwards Winery tastings and the Captain Daniel Packer Inn for dinner in Mystic- you won't be disappointed! We highly recommend the Inn at Lower Farm for couples wishing for some together time, as well as history and some quiet time!

great location, we traveled to Mohegan Sun for a concert, to Mystic Seaport and to local vineyard for tour & tasting and all were a 20 min drive. Very comfortable and spacious room. Grounds were beautiful, lots of spots to be outside and relax. Delicious breakfast.
