Triple Chocolate Chunkies½ pound soft butter1 cups sugar 1 ½ cups brown sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 eggs 4 ½ cups flour 2/3 cup cocoa 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons baking soda 2 cups chocolate chips 2-3 chunks of chocolate per cookie Preheat oven to 350˚F. Combine flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda in a medium bowl and set aside. In a mixer, beat together the butter and sugars. Add the vanilla. Add the eggs and mix until thoroughly blended. Slowly incorporate dry mixture into the wet mixture and stir. Finally, add the chocolate chips. Roll into tablespoon sized balls and set on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 8-10 minutes; the cookies will be soft. Press chocolate chunks into the top of the cookie after you have removed them from the oven. The chunks will melt slightly. Allow to cool completely before serving. You can vary this recipe by adding different flavored chips or nuts to the batter (white chocolate chips look great!) |
