Honey Baked French Toast12-15 slices, 1 inch thick, French or Italian bread4 eggs 2 T. honey, divided 1 - 1 1/2 c. fat-free milk 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 T. butter, melted 2-3 T. brown sugar In a medium bowl, beat eggs with 1 T. honey and cinnamon, add milk and mix well. Spray a 9x13 or larger pan with Pam, dip bread, one slice at a time, and place in prepared pan, overlapping slightly. Pour any remaining egg mixture over bread slices. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. In the morning, remove pan from refrigerator 1/2 hour before baking. Preheat oven to 350. Sprinkle bread with brown sugar, drizzle with remaining 1 T. honey and the melted butter. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve with maple syrup. Enjoy! |
