Located in Southeast
Arizona, Casa de San Pedro
Bed and Breakfast is a Territorial style
inn built around a courtyard and fountain. Our San Pedro River
Arizona location is an ideal naturalist hideaway - perfect for birding, hiking, horseback riding, environmental study, or relaxing! Built in 1996, it is exquisitely decorated and furnished with hand-carved furniture from
Mexico in an effort to capture the atmosphere of the old
inns of
Spain and
Mexico, where visitors were treated as invitados bienmirado (highly regarded and honored guests) and were lavished with personal attention. At Casa de San Pedro, you are invitados bienmirado and our goal is to provide you a special experience and ensure your comfort while visiting Southeastern Arizona.
Our gracious
inn has all the modern amenities you would expect in a comfortable and quiet setting. Bring your laptop and use our free WiFi connection to the internet, or leave it at home and use our guest computer and printer. The Great Room has a great library of birding, natural history, and general reading magazines and books. Use our spotting scope to zoom in on the many birds that come to our feeders - we host avid birders from all over the world who enjoy our location that is adjacent to 40 miles of BLM reserve and the San Pedro River.
Enjoy a full breakfast each morning, breakfasts that have won the "Best Breakfasts in the Southwest" award. And our afternoon pies and other home baked goodies are reason enough to schedule your trip to SE Arizona.
We are conveniently located at the end of the paved road, but are surrounded by high prairie grassland and riparian vegetation - a green ribbon in the middle of this mountain valley - home to many birds that you will want to add to your life list - even if you are not a birder you will want to start that lifelong hobby after visiting Casa de San Pedro.
We are located half way between
Sierra Vista and Bisbee.
Sierra Vista is at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains, near the many hiking and birding (and butterfly!) canyons that are world famous. Bisbee is a gem of a historic town that was once the biggest copper mine in
Arizona, and home to many artists. Tombstone and Kartchner Caverns, Whitewater Draw and Cochise Stronghold and the Chirachaua National Monument are also easy destinations for your ventures into the Sky Islands of
Arizona. Our 4250' elevation gives us relatively mild summers with cool nights. Winter is sunny and inviting - with snow on the mountain tops and you in shirt sleves most of the year! The perfect climate and a beautiful destination with lots (or NOTHING!) to do. So plan a trip in any season (use the pool in April to November) and enjoy life as it is meant to be.
